We celebrated Lucas's birthday with his classmates from daycare and cousins on Sam's side at a local kid's gym. It was so great to see all the kids jumping on the trampolines, sliding into the foam pit, and crawling through the tunnels....they really weren't interested in walking on the balance beams and other gymnastics stuff, go figure! Mom and Danny were able to join us, too, which was a nice. Lucas really loves playing with these two.

Sweet Moment
Well obviously, I have been lazy about posting to the blog. We've had plenty of activities to write about, I just haven't taken the time to do it. I wanted to record this memory, so here goes....
Sam has had a busy couple of weeks with the new position at FedEx and putting in the zip lines at the park. Needless to say, the time we have gotten to spend together as a family has been limited lately, but when we are all together, Lucas really lights up. He gets so excited when "Daddy Home." Sam came home for about 30 minutes to spend time with Lucas and me this evening and one of the sweetest things happened tonight. When Sam was just about to leave, Lucas shouted across the room, "I Love You. I Love You Daddy!" It was just the sweetest thing as Lucas hasn't ever prompted saying those 3 words. Sam and I were both fighting back the tears.
Back to Blogging
Life has taken hold and Lucas keeps me BUSY! I've neglected posting for over a year now, but now today I'm declaring I will post pictures of a year in review....so over the next couple weeks (hopefully) I will get all pictures and videos from the past year posted, starting with Mother's Day 2011.
Mother's Day 2011 at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
This was a fantastic day trip from FW. We had a blast, but Lucas started getting nervous when the animals began putting their heads in the car. You don't realize how big they are until they are 6 inches from your face.
