We are heading to Austin this weekend to celebrate Christmas with the Meryman side of the family. Hopefully, we will have plenty of pics to share when we get back...until the next post, here's my favorite pic of us during the holiday season. Thanks Uncle Chuck and Aunt Lani for the warm tobaggon and mittens. Lucas really needed them these cold days and he looks so cute too.

One Small Step for Man...
Lucas took a few unassisted steps tonight. Crazy stuff! He was so excited and happy. We just weren't prepared for it, we didn't catch it on video :-(

Sam's family Christmas
The weekend before Christmas every year, Sam's family gathers together to celebrate. This was a special time for us because we all had be
en grieving the loss of Great-grandpa Kealoha. He lost his battle to cancer just the week before. Great-grandma, Grandma, Sam, and Lucas posed for a picture. Grandma shared a story with Lucas (probably while Sam was recovering from his wine.) The food was delicious and the company was even better, thanks to Great-grandma, Uncle Chuck and Aunt Lani joining us.

Christmas 2009
What a special day for us....Lucas' first Christmas and it was a white one. We got about 4 inches of snow on Christmas Eve. Then, Lucas gave us the best gift ever....he slept through the night until 8:00 am! That was awesome!!

He's on the move!
For about 2 weeks now, Lucas has been on his hands and knees trying to figure out the crawling thing. He's squirming, lunging, and wriggling around. Well today was the day. He figured it out this morning. He crawled about 8 feet across the floor trying to get a red cone. We'll post a video soon.
